Punjab Child Protection Bureau rescues minor boy abused by transgender guru

The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau in Gujranwala rescued a minor boy who was abused and exploited by a transgender guru in a viral video that sparked anger on social media, with people demanding action against the perpetrator.

The bureau took the child into custody and registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the transgender individual.

The action was taken on the directives of the bureau’s chairperson, Sara Ahmed.

Ahmed stated that the child will be cared for at the Child Protection Bureau and provided with education, food, shelter, and other basic necessities.

A disturbing video surfaced from Gujranwala, showing a transgender individual (Guru) allegedly torturing and holding a minor boy captive.

The bureau initiated an investigation into the matter and vowed to take swift action to recover the minor.

Sarah requested the Inspector General of Punjab to arrest the transgender individual as soon as possible.

The chairperson expressed gratitude to the civil society for raising their voice against those, who are involved in such ill practices.   

The matter came to light after a fashion entrepreneur, Maria B, shared a video clip in which  a Guru was seen harassing and torturing a minor boy and forcing him to dance. 

The video showed the boy following the Guru's gestures and said that Guru brings her to every event for dancing.
