A court in Rawalpindi has imposed a ban on the use of loudspeakers by vendors selling vegetables, fruits, and other goods, and ordered cases to be registered against violators.

The hearing took place in a local court where cases had been filed against street sellers using loudspeakers.

The court, taking notice of the issue, approved a petition submitted by senior lawyer Anwar Dar.

Additional Sessions Judge Maqsood Qureshi directed that cases be registered against vendors using loudspeakers in residential streets.

The petitioner argued that hawkers use loudspeakers from early morning until late at night, disturbing residents and violating existing regulations on noise.
