A banned outfit in northwestern Pakistan has enforced strict restrictions during the holy month of Ramadan, prohibiting men from shaving their beards and warning barbers against offering stylish trims.

According to media reports, Lashkar-i-Islam (LI) issued a pamphlet outlining the new directives in parts of the Tirah Valley, Khyber.

The pamphlet, reportedly distributed by LI commander Afridi, was posted in prominent locations such as Bar Bagh Markaz and handed out to local shopkeepers and residents.

The group not only forbade beard shaving but also cautioned shopkeepers against hoarding essential goods or inflating prices during Ramadan.

Additionally, local youth were warned against excessive motorcycle riding and the use of ice.

The pamphlet further urged mobile phone and computer users to refrain from downloading or sharing objectionable material, particularly instructing elders to monitor young people’s digital activities closely.
