Robber commits suicide after being chased by angry mob in Muzaffargarh

A robber committed suicide in Muzaffargarh after being chased by an angry mob that caught him looting a citizen, it emerged on Monday.

The incident occurred on Muzaffargarh's thermal road. A citizen was injured while pursuing a bandit who was attempting to escape after robbing another person.

The mugger was surrounded by locals while attempting to flee. Fearing the wrath of the angry mob, the bandit allegedly shot himself, the police told the local media.

According to the law enforcers, the deceased robber's body was transported to the hospital. He was wanted in connection with several other cases.

An injured citizen was also taken to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) after being caught in the bandit's gunfire. Police stated that further legal proceedings are underway.

Earlier, in another snatching incident on July 31, a notorious criminal gang leader was caught by police and civilians. The suspect was attempting to escape after he snatched a motorcycle from a resident in Bait Meer Hazar Khan, Muzaffargarh.

The accused, Sadam, had stolen a Honda 125 motorcycle and was fleeing the scene when a crowd chased him. The locals then also informed the police of the robbery.
