Robbers loot Rs2 million from private company's rider in Karachi’s DHA

Robbers snatched a bag containing Rs2 million from a private company's rider in Karachi's Defence Housing Authority and sped away, police said on Thursday.

According to media reports, the rider had withdrawn the cash from a private bank in Saddar and was heading towards his office when the suspects, who had allegedly been following him, intercepted him on the way.

The armed robbers held the rider at gunpoint and snatched the bag containing the cash before fleeing on a motorcycle.

CCTV footage of the incident showed one suspect wearing a helmet while the other had covered his face with a mask. The footage also captured the suspects escaping after the robbery.

A police officer said that police had identified the suspects involved in the incident and expressed confidence that arrests would be made soon.

Police said further investigation into the robbery is underway.
