A man in Sargodha cut off a buffalo’s tongue after it ate fodder from his loader rickshaw.
The disturbing event occurred within the jurisdiction of the Shahpur City Police Station in Sargodha, Punjab.
According to the police, the accused, Bilal, was transporting fodder in a loader rickshaw when a buffalo began eating it. In response, Bilal cut off the buffalo's tongue with a sickle.
District Police Officer Dr. Asad Ejaz Malhi took immediate notice of the incident and directed Station House Officer Shahpur City Police Safdar Iqbal to arrest the accused as soon as possible.
Subsequently, the police apprehended Bilal and initiated an investigation.
Pakistan has experienced several recent incidents of animal abuse. For instance, in Sanghar, influential individuals severed a camel's leg. Instead of charging those responsible, the police filed a case against unidentified persons.
