Sheikh Faisal Nouman, the Muadhin of Holy Masjid-e-Nabwi, passed away on 23 December.
His namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayers) was held at Masjid an-Nabawi after the Fajr prayer on Tuesday (23 December). He is reported to have been laid to rest at the historic Baqi Al-Gharqad cemetery.
Religious scholars, worshippers, and devout Muslims from around the world have mourned his passing and offered prayers for the forgiveness of his soul.
He was appointed as a Muadhin of Masjid an-Nabawi in the year 1422 AH (2001 CE), joining the noble ranks of those entrusted with raising the call to prayer from the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah.
Sheikh Faisal Nouman carried this sacred trust with sincerity and humility, serving as a Muadhin of the Prophet’s Mosque for 25 years, from 1422 until 1447, until he returned to his Lord today.
Through this blessed lineage, the call to prayer continued to rise from the Prophet’s Mosque, an enduring legacy that echoed across generations and into the hearts of the Ummah. He belonged to a distinguished household whose service to the Adhan in the Prophet’s Mosque spanned generations.
