Man shot dead on Rawalpindi court premises in front of police

A man was shot dead by his rival on the premises of the district and session court in Rawalpindi in front of police.

According to the police, the incident took place when an accused murderer was brought to the court for a case hearing.

Police said the man's opponent opened fire at him, which claimed his life on the spot.

However, police added, the murderer was arrested by the cops.

“Six bullets from the suspect’s gun hit the deceased and he died on the spot,” said the police.

According to the officials, the incident was over personal enmity as the deceased was accused of killing the murderer's sister.

Police added that a blood feud was the motive of this murder.

However, the killing on the premises of the court raised concerns among the lawyers and judges, who demanded authorities to make strict security arrangements for the court.
