Sialkot woman sets husband on fire over suspicion of second marriage

In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly set her husband on fire in Sialkot over a suspicion of a second marriage, leaving him critically injured.

According to police, the harrowing incident took place in the Rawel Garha area of Sialokot on Tuesday.

As per police, the culprit, along with her three sisters and a brother-in-law, doused her husband, Shakeel, with petrol and set him on fire after a quarrel.

The neighbours heard the commotion and rushed him to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Sambrial. According to hospital sources, about 60 percent of his body was burnt.

The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) on the complaint of the victim and arrested the suspect's accomplices.

However, the main suspect is still at large and police are conducting raids to arrest her.
