SSGC unveils daily gas load-shedding schedule for Karachi

Karachiites now expect chillier nights ahead, with SSGC announcing that homes across Sindh will be cut off from gas every night between 10 pm and 5 am due to an intensifying shortage.

According to reports, the utility has implemented the nighttime gas shutdown as part of its seasonal load-management plan, a strategy formulated in line with guidelines approved by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).            

However, it was stated by the officials that the company is operating far less amount of gas than expected this year, facing difficulties in making adjustments.

SSGC spokesperson said less gas is available than expected, so they have to temporarily stop supply at night to ensure enough for daytime use.
