Teenage house help commits suicide using employer’s pistol in Karachi’s DHA

A suicide case surfaced in Karachi’s Defence area, where a househelp allegedly took his own life using a firearm belonging to his employer, according to police.

The incident took place on Wednesday.

The deceased, identified as 18-year-old Abid Mujahid, reportedly shot himself with his employer’s pistol. Police say the act may have been driven by mental stress, as claimed by Mujahid’s cousin.

According to Sahil SHO Shahid Taj, Mujahid had frequently told his cousin that he was “fed up with life” and might end his life using his employer’s weapon.

Following the incident, the body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a medical examination and further legal proceedings.

Recetntly, a double murder case surfaced in Karachi's Clifton area where a couple from Gujranwala was shot dead near China Port. Their bodies were found near the sea view beach, with both of them revealed to be married to each other. 

Police investigating the deaths of a couple discovered they had eloped from Gujranwala and were staying at multiple locations in Karachi. Eleven suspects have been arrested in Gujranwala in connection with their alleged honor killing.
