Woman allegedly raped on pretext of job in Islamabad

A woman was allegedly raped by two men who had called her to their apartment at Islamabad’s Centaurus Mall under the pretext of offering her a job, according to reports. Police swiftly arrested the suspects following the victim’s complaint.

The incident was reported late Tuesday. The Islamabad police reached the location soon after the woman alerted them via helpline 15.

According to the Margalla Station House Officer (SHO), two suspects, identified as Faisal Jalal and Hafeezullah, were taken into custody after the victim accused them of sexually assaulting her.

Police said the men had rented apartment number 606, where they invited the woman under the guise of a job opportunity.

A First Information Report (FIR) was registered, and the victim was shifted to PIMS Hospital for a medical examination to confirm the assault allegations.

Officials added that a thorough investigation has been launched, and all aspects of the case will be examined to ensure justice is served fairly.
