Woman kills lawyer husband over second marriage wish in Punjab

Okara: A wife, with the assistance of her brother and sister, killed her husband, Advocate Owais Akram, following disputes over his second marriage.
According to police, Owais Akram had previously married Najma, also known as Sonia, and later contracted a second marriage with a girl from his own community.
Following the dispute, Najma reportedly left the marital home in protest and went to her brother’s house. On reaching Rasulpur, where Owais Akram was present at his uncle’s house, Najma and her siblings confronted him.
In a fit of rage over the second marriage, Najma attacked and killed Owais Akram.
Okara police, led by SHO Choudhry Sarwar, arrived at the scene along with a police team. Najma (Sonia), her sister Azran Bibi, and two others, Azhar Hassan and Azam, were taken into custody.
The body of Owais Akram was transported to the hospital for postmortem examination.
