Pakistan's javelin ace Arshad Nadeem has vowed to unite the nation like a bunch of wood if he becomes the prime minister of the country for a day.
He revealed his plans during an interview with renowned journalist and anchorperson Waseem Badami.
During the interview, the host asked the 27-year-old athlete what would he do if he assumed elite office for one day.
"Shehbaz Sahab will say I'm taking care of Arshad Nadeem and he is planning to take over my seat," Badami chimed spreading laughter at the national hero's face.
"I want the entire Pakistani nation to become united," he replied while holding both hands.

"You cannot break a bundle of wood, but if we separate woods they can easily be broken," Arshad added.
Arshad also shared a lighthearted moment about the buffalo he received as a gift from his father-in-law after his Olympic triumph.
"My father-in-law owns acres of land, but he gave me a buffalo. I told my wife to tell him to give 5-acre land out of his 1.5-mile land."
The sportsman made the country proud on August 8 when he threw a javelin at the record-breaking spot of 92.97 metres at the Paris Olympics 2024.
The throw made him able to end Pakistan's 40-year wait for an individual gold medal at the Summer Games.
Following the achievement, Arshad was showered with announcements of cash prizes and rewards from politicians and celebrities.
President Asif Ali Zardari will confer Hilal-e-Imtiaz, the second-highest civilian award, on the national hero for his outstanding performance at the World Games.
