England fan chants 'Free Palestine' during live Sky News interview after Euro 2024 Final

An England football fan expressed his support for the Palestinians, who have been facing Israel's war crimes for almost nine months, during a live interview with Sky News after the Euro 2024 final between England and Spain at Olympiastadion in Berlin.

"I thought they played really good, absolutely amazing. Every game they've played so far, they have got the absolute goal plan. Everything right down to the team and tonight they just could not make it," the fan lauded his team's performance.

However, the interview took an unexpected turn when the fan suddenly chanted "Free Palestine", a slogan that has become a symbol for supporters of the Gaza cause.

"But understandable where all this is. Free Palestine," he said, prompting the host to back mic.

"We will leave that there. Thank you very much. We don't need that tonight," the reporter replied.

A recent Israeli airstrike targeted a so-called humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi, killing at least 90 Palestinians.

As per the details shared by Palestine's health ministry, over 38,000 people have been killed by Israel since October 7.

The population of Gaza has decreased from 2.3 million to 2.1 million, according to recent estimates by the UN humanitarian community.
