Islamabad: The Ministry of Interior has decided to construct a cricket stadium in Islamabad to address traffic congestion problems during cricket matches.
According to sources, a world-class cricket stadium will be built in Sector D-12 of Islamabad.
Sources said that the Interior Minister has instructed the Chairman of the CDA to complete the project within one year.
It has been revealed that a modern cricket stadium, modeled after Dubai’s facilities, will be constructed in Islamabad. Building the stadium away from the city center is expected to eliminate traffic-related issues.
Sources further stated that a seven-star hotel will also be constructed near the stadium, providing accommodation facilities for international teams. Modern parking, security, and transport arrangements will be part of the project.
According to sources, features similar to the Dubai Sports Complex will be introduced in Islamabad.
