Multan Sultans’ fast bowler Ubaid Shah stunned viewers by slapping his own wicketkeeper, Usman Khan, in the face during an emotional celebration after taking a crucial wicket against Lahore Qalandars.

The dramatic moment unfolded during the 12th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, held at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

After dismissing Lahore Qalandars’ batter Kamran Ghulam in the 15th over, Ubaid Shah, overcome with emotion, slapped Usman Khan mid-celebration, causing him to fall to the ground.

The unexpected incident was caught on camera and has since gone viral across social media platforms.

The official PSL Instagram page also shared the clip, sparking a wave of reactions from amused fans.

One user wrote, “Ubaid proved he is Naseem Shah’s brother.”

Another commented, “I have never laughed this much during a match.”

A third called it “the funniest moment of PSL history.”

One fan even compared Ubaid Shah to WWE wrestler Roman Reigns.

 

Batting first after winning the toss, Multan Sultans posted a formidable total of 228 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. In response, Lahore Qalandars managed 195 runs for nine wickets, falling short by 33 runs.

For the Sultans, Ubaid Shah impressed with three wickets. Usama Mir and Michael Bracewell took two wickets each, while Josh Lattuck and David Willey claimed one apiece.

Yasir Khan starred with the bat for the Sultans, scoring a blistering 87. Usman Khan added 39, skipper Mohammad Rizwan made 32, Ashton Turner 15, and Michael Bracewell chipped in with 9.

For the Qalandars, Iftikhar Ahmed top-scored with 40, while Kamran Ghulam remained unbeaten on 3. Rashad Hussain took two wickets, while Asif Afridi, Sikandar Raza, and Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed one each. Haris Rauf had a rough outing, conceding 54 runs in just three overs, making him the most expensive bowler of the match.

With this victory, Multan Sultans secured their first win of the PSL 10 season, defeating the defending champions by a convincing margin.
