The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has set a new benchmark for live sports viewership in the country, recording an 826.5% increase compared to the same period last year, according to data shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The unprecedented surge in viewership came despite the league being held alongside the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time—an overlap most cricket boards traditionally avoid.

The HBL PSL was rescheduled to April this year from its usual February-March slot due to Pakistan’s hosting of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

The PCB attributed the spike in viewership to the inclusion of top-tier international and local players, as well as an engaging tournament launch ceremony.

The opening match featured children in national colours performing the anthem, followed by a soulful Sufi performance led by renowned singer Abida Parveen. The match saw Islamabad United defeat Lahore Qalandars by eight wickets at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

PSL 2025 Full Match Schedule (PST):

The tournament runs from April 11 to May 18, with matches scheduled across Rawalpindi, Karachi, Multan, and Lahore. (Full schedule listed above can be included in an appendix or graphic.)
