Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets in the final of the Tri-Nation Series to lift the trophy with ease.

In the final played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Pakistan successfully chased the 115-run target for the loss of just four wickets. Babar Azam played a responsible knock of 37 runs off 34 balls and remained unbeaten at the crease.

Among the other batters, Saim Ayub scored 36 runs off 33 deliveries before being dismissed, Sahibzada Farhan contributed 23, and captain Salman Ali Agha scored 14 runs. Fakhar Zaman managed only 3 runs before getting out.

For Sri Lanka, Pawan Rathnayake claimed two wickets, while Wanindu Hasaranga and Eshan Malinga picked up one wicket each.

Earlier, due to outstanding bowling from the Pakistani bowlers, Sri Lanka failed to set a big target and were bowled out for just 114 runs.

Sri Lanka lost their first wicket at 20, but Kamil Mishara and wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis built an impressive partnership of 64 runs off 47 balls.

After Kusal Mendis was dismissed at the score of 84, Sri Lankan batters fell one after another. The entire team was bowled out for 114 and could not even complete the full 20 overs.

For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Nawaz took three wickets each, Abrar Ahmed claimed two, while Saim Ayub and Salman Mirza picked up one wicket apiece.
