Colombo: Pakistan secured their second successive victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 by defeating the USA by 32 runs.

In the Group A clash, the United States won the toss and elected to field first, inviting Pakistan to bat.

Pakistan posted 190 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs, with Sahibzada Farhan top-scoring with 73 runs.

Chasing 191, the USA managed 158 for 8 in their 20 overs, giving Pakistan a comfortable 32-run victory, avenging their previous defeat against the USA in 2024.

For this match, Pakistan made one change: Usman Tariq replaced Salman Mirza in the playing XI.

USA Innings

Chasing 191, the USA started positively with a 42-run opening partnership, but soon lost Andres Goss for 13 and Monak Patel cheaply for 3.

Shian Jahangir scored 49 and Shubham Ranjane contributed 51, while Milind Kumar added 29 runs.

Pakistan’s bowling was led by Usman Tariq, who took 3 wickets, Shadab Khan 2, and Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed, and Shaheen Afridi one each.

The USA finished at 158/8, giving Pakistan a 32-run victory and keeping their winning momentum alive.

Pakistan had previously defeated the Netherlands by 3 wickets in a thrilling encounter and will next face India on 15 February.
