The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet announced the venue for the remaining matches of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), as it is still awaiting responses from foreign players. However, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that the matches will be held from May 17 to May 25.

In a post on X, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi wrote, "PSL 10th picks up from where it left off! 6 teams, 0 fear, let the aura take over as we unite and celebrate the spirit of cricket. Get ready for eight thrilling matches starting from 17th May, leading up to the grand final on 25th May. Best of luck to all the teams!"

Following the ceasefire, the PSL franchises have reached out to their players, who left Pakistan on charter flights over the weekend due to the cross-border conflict that intensified after the Indian air strike, followed by a drone attack near Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Earlier, the PCB mulled over bringing the PSL back to the country during a meeting on Monday following the ceasefire; however, the implementation of this decision depended on the availability of foreign players.

In this regard, “the franchises were negotiating their foreign players regarding tentative dates of May 17 to 25 with Rawalpindi,” Dawn cited sources.

The sources said that a new schedule for the postponed matches would be announced after the confirmation of the availability of players. A decision on the situation is expected by Wednesday.

The only challenge the cricket board faced was the availability of players. There were no problems with the broadcasters; they can set everything up in just a few days.

The PCB was optimistic that foreign players would come back to play, especially since there were no international matches scheduled during the planned timeframe.

However, there were concerns that Australian players may not want to return to Pakistan or India as IPL was also put on hold due to rising tensions in the region.
