The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced plans to upgrade cricket stadiums in Multan, Faisalabad, and Hyderabad, aiming to enhance the country’s cricketing infrastructure.
The decision was revealed by PCB’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Javed Murtaza, underscoring the board’s commitment to improving facilities for players and spectators.
Following the successful renovation of stadiums in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi ahead of the recently concluded Champions Trophy 2025, the PCB has now set its sights on additional venues.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refuted claims by Indian media regarding financial losses from hosting the Champions Trophy 2025.
At a press conference in Lahore, PCB advisor Amir Mir and Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza dismissed reports of an $85 million loss, calling them false propaganda.
They stated that Pakistan Cricket expects a Rs3 billion profit, exceeding the initial Rs2 billion projection.
Mir clarified that ICC funded all $70 million in expenses, with no PCB expenditure. He also highlighted that PCB paid Rs4 billion in taxes, reaffirming the tournament’s financial success.
