Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has stated that the Pakistan women’s team will not travel to India to participate in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.

The national women’s team had qualified for the ICC Women’s World Cup, scheduled to be held in India, by delivering an outstanding performance and winning all their matches in the qualifying round without any ifs or buts.

Speaking to the media, the PCB Chairman gave a categorical response regarding the possibility of the women’s team traveling to India. He said, “The Pakistan women’s team will not go to India. As per the agreement, our team will not travel there.”

Mohsin Naqvi added that the agreement had already been made earlier and that it is now up to India to decide on a neutral venue. “Wherever the neutral venue is decided, our team will participate, but we will not go to India. Since there is an agreement in place, it must be followed.”

Commenting on the team’s remarkable performance, Mohsin Naqvi said, “When a team plays as a unit, such results are achieved. Every team should play as one, and that’s how results come.”

He further stated that the women cricketers will be rewarded for their performance, calling it their rightful due.

The PCB Chairman also mentioned that a couple of projects related to women’s cricket are currently in progress and updates will be shared soon.

He emphasized that if minor changes continue within the women’s team, they will eventually settle on a consistent track, and similarly, positive results will begin to emerge from other teams including the Under-19, Shaheens, and the national side.

Regarding the men's team, Mohsin Naqvi said that decisions will be made soon. He confirmed that Aqib Javed was given interim responsibility, but it was a temporary arrangement and further developments will be reviewed next week.

When asked about Mohammad Rizwan’s apparent frustration and his statement about lacking authority, the PCB Chairman declined to comment.
