Islamabad United secured a commanding 102-run victory over Peshawar Zalmi in the fifth match of the HBL PSL 2025 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Chasing a daunting 244-run target, Zalmi faltered early, losing both openers cheaply. Saim Ayub was dismissed for 6 by Naseem Shah, while captain Babar Azam managed just 1 run before falling to Ben Dwarshuis.
Imad Wasim then triggered a top-order collapse, removing Mitchell Owen (10), Tom Kohler-Cadmore (8), and another key batter to finish with three wickets.
Despite a valiant effort from Mohammad Haris, who scored 87 off 47 balls with 12 fours and 4 sixes, Zalmi lacked support from the other end. The rest of the batting lineup offered minimal resistance, and the team was bowled out for 141 in 18.2 overs.
Earlier, Islamabad United delivered a batting masterclass in their PSL 10 clash against Peshawar Zalmi, piling up 235/5 at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium on Monday.
After losing Andries Gous early for a duck, Sahibzada Farhan and Colin Munro steadied the innings with an explosive 144-run stand.
Farhan stole the show with a blistering 106 off 52 balls — his maiden PSL century — matching the fastest hundred by an Islamabad United batter.

Munro contributed a solid 40 before both fell in the same over to Alzarri Joseph. Azam Khan and Salman Ali Agha added quick runs, with Agha scoring 30 off 15.
Jason Holder (20*) and Ben Dwarshuis (18*) closed out the innings with a late flourish.
