The United Nations has warned that it may take 10 years to clear unexploded bombs in Gaza. Since the ceasefire, the recovery of bodies from the rubble of buildings destroyed by Israeli airstrikes continues, with 200 bodies already found.

The United Nations has cautioned that clearing unexploded bombs in Gaza could take at least 10 years.

According to damage estimates released by the United Nations this month, it could take 21 years and cost $1.2 billion to clear over 50 million tons of debris left after Israel’s bombing.

As the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas enters its third day, displaced Palestinians are continuing to return to their areas in Gaza.

While displaced Palestinians are heading back to their homes, aid trucks are also arriving in Gaza. According to the United Nations, 630 aid trucks entered Gaza on Sunday.

On the first day of the ceasefire, Hamas released three female hostages, all of whom appeared healthy and in good spirits.

Hamas has expressed readiness to engage in negotiations with Israel. As part of the agreement, Israel released 90 Palestinian prisoners, including women and children, in exchange for the hostages. Among those released were politician Khalida Jarrar and journalist Rola Hasnain.
