A 106-year-old man in the United States (US) set a Guinness World Record for becoming the 'oldest' person to tandem skydive, the record-holder company said on Saturday.
Alfred “Al” Blaschke made the record after plunging 9,000 feet through the Texas sky.
Alfred has reclaimed his status as he first broke the record in 2020 at the age of 103.
Later, the record was broken by Swedish woman Ruth Linnea Larsson at the age of 103 years and 257 days.
"He was joined by the governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, who had agreed to skydive alongside Al when they met after Al first broke the record," GWR said in a statement.
“If you think you can’t, you’re just underestimating yourself. Everyone is more capable than they think. They just need to make the decision to try,” the record-breaker great-grandfather said.
