The BRICS alliance declared that the Gaza Strip is an “inseparable part of the occupied Palestinian Territory” and should be unified with the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority. In its latest summit declaration, the alliance also demanded the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories.
The declaration expressed deep concern over Israel’s continued military assaults on Gaza, its obstruction of humanitarian aid, and the alleged use of famine as a weapon of war.
BRICS called upon the international community to act in good faith to bring about an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire.
The block led by emerging economis in the Global South, reaffirmed the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and backed the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
It emphasised the importance of ensuring the release of all prisoners and hostages, along with the uninterrupted and free flow of humanitarian aid to the war-torn region.

In addition to addressing the situation in Gaza, the BRICS summit reiterated its support for granting full membership to the State of Palestine in the United Nations. The declaration stressed that the two-state solution remains the only viable path to achieving lasting peace in the region.
On the other hands, US President Donald Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to issue a warning to countries aligned with the bloc.
He stated that any nation supporting BRICS’ so-called anti-American policies would face an additional 10 percent tariff.
“Any country aligning themselves with the anti-American policies of BRICS will be charged an ADDITIONAL 10% tariff. There will be no exceptions to this policy. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump wrote.

Trump’s statement comes at a time when BRICS condemned attacks on Iran, widely seen as referencing recent strikes carried out by the US and Israel, though the alliance stopped short of naming the countries directly.
In a separate statement issued on Sunday, BRICS voiced concern over rising regional tensions and condemned foreign attacks on Iran, reinforcing its stance against external aggression.
