China’s AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Corporation, which produces the J-10C fighter jets operated by Pakistan, has posted a notable increase in its financial performance, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The company said its revenue rose by 15.8 per cent to 75.4 billion yuan (around $11 billion) in 2025, while profits climbed 6.5 per cent to 3.4 billion yuan during the same period. These figures mark the highest earnings recorded by the aircraft maker so far.
Bloomberg also reported that the company saw strong momentum at the start of the year, with its sales jumping by nearly 80 per cent in the first quarter compared to the same period last year.
The Pakistan Air Force inducted the J-10C fighter jets into its fleet in March 2022, describing the move as a significant step in strengthening the country’s air defence capabilities. Officials at the time said the aircraft were equipped with advanced weaponry, including fourth-generation air-to-air missiles such as the short-range PL-10 and the long-range PL-15.
The J-10C was first used in combat in May 2025, during heightened tensions between Pakistan and India. The development followed an incident on May 6, when India carried out strikes after an attack on tourists in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
