Amid the celebrations surrounding the ceasefire deal, Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip continued, leaving at least 30 Palestinians martyred and several others injured.

Earlier, Qatar confirmed that a ceasefire discussion between Hamas and Israel concluded after 15 months of war and the truce is set to take effect  on Sunday, January 19.

However, a Qatar-based news platform, Al Jazeera, reported that Israeli forces continued to attack the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least 30 Palestinians.

The Palestinian Civil Defence reported that they have discovered at least five bodies from the rubble of the Khalifa family home in the Rimal neighbourhood, west of Gaza.

As many as ten people were reported injured in the Israeli military strikes.

According to the Palestinian Information Centre, in another attack, the Israeli military bombed an apartment block belonging to the Issa family near Qassam cemetery in the Nuseirat refugee camp, central Gaza, leaving at least two dead.

Apart from this, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office accused Hamas of seeking to “go back on the understandings.”

“The prime minister instructed the negotiating team to uphold the understandings that were agreed upon and to reject outright the last-minute attempts at blackmail by Hamas,” Al Jazeera quoted PMO Israel’s statement.

However, Middle East political analyst Omar Baddar stated that the people are still waiting for the “first bit of good news” when the ceasefire agreement will be effective, as Israel was “accelerating its bombing” and killed more than 80 people in its latest attack on Gaza.
