Freed Palestinian prisoner reunites with his mother

Islam Wishahi, a Palestinian prisoner, was reunited with his overjoyed mother on Thursday following his release from an Israeli jail.

The emotional reunion was caught on camera.

"I thank You, O Lord, and I thank the people of Gaza, O Lord."

This was one of many, as over 600 Palestinian detainees were freed in the final stage of the first phase of the Israel-Hamas prisoner exchange and ceasefire agreement.

However, the joy was tempered by concerns for the health of many of the released prisoners, who arrived in Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, and Gaza in fragile condition, with some requiring immediate medical attention.
