The Israeli genocide in Gaza continues to inflict atrocities on innocent Gazans as they observe the holy month of Ramadan amidst bloodshed and starvation.

While Muslims worldwide celebrate Ramadan with joy and enthusiasm, this year is marked differently for the people in Gaza, who face an acute shortage of food. The death toll from malnutrition has reached 25 in the north.

Due to the scarcity of essential goods, Many are forced to rely on flatbread and canned food delivered by aid organisations.

The situation in Rafah, where people can at least find food, is relatively better than in the northern part of Gaza, as per sources.

Basic staples like salt, sugar, fresh fruits and vegetables have become rare and expensive, compelling some to resort to consuming animal food.

In February, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu openly declared to continue the invasion of Rafah, the southern border and the last sanctuary for Gazans.

He reiterated his stance on Saturday after US President Joe Biden cautioned that such a military action would cross a "red line."

According to Al Jazeera, Israel's intelligence agency claims that a ceasefire discussion is currently underway, while Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh urges Israel's allies to "stop this heinous war on Gaza.”

Since October 7, Israeli attacks on Gaza have resulted in at least 31,045 Palestinians killed and 72,654 injured with numerous individuals held hostage by Israel.

Thousands remain trapped under the rubble, many suffering acute injuries like severe burns and amputations.
