A heartbreaking video of a teary-eyed child hugging his father's shoes, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis, has surfaced online, highlighting the ongoing tragedy and anguish inflicted on Palestinian children over the past eight months.
Palestinian journalist Mariam Abu Dagga shared the video on her Instagram account, which showed the child in deep sorrow, as he embraced his father's shoes while a friend consoled him.
Israel’s relentless bombardment of humanitarian safe zones has unleashed mayhem in the Gaza Strip. This morning, devastating scenes were recorded in a video as families rushed to flee following evacuation orders.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that 83% of Gaza is under evacuation orders or designated as ‘no-go’ zones by the Israeli military.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, Israeli attacks in eastern Khan Younis on Monday, minutes after the evacuation orders, killed at least 70 people and injured more than 200.
Due to the overwhelming influx of wounded at the Nasser Medical Complex, medics have declared that the hospital is unable to cope with the emergency situation as "more and more victims of Israeli assaults arrive".
Recent images showed Palestinian civilians, forced out of humanitarian zones due to the threat of Israeli assaults, sleeping in the hospital's courtyard.
