An Israeli soldier who posted photos on social media while looting Palestinian homes in Gaza during the IDF's military offensive was killed by Hamas.
A pro-Palestinian account, "Israel Genocide Tracker," shared on X that Israeli soldier Shaul Greenglick had been involved in plundering the homes of displaced Palestinian civilians in northern Gaza.
According to the post, Greenglick was killed by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas shortly after sharing the images.
In the photos, Greenglick took selfies inside homes whose owners had either been killed by the Israeli army or forced to flee amid the intense military offensive.
The IDF soldier also posted images from the ground during the ongoing offensive in the enclave.

Al Jazeera recently released an investigative documentary that identified Israeli soldiers who shared their reckless and ridiculing behaviour on social media after bombing Palestinians.
The video evidence in the documentary also exposed brutal torture being inflicted on Palestinian hostages, with Israeli soldiers physically abusing them while they were stripped naked.
IDF soldiers looted Palestinian homes, destroyed furniture, and devastated entire infrastructure to eliminate any chance of rebuilding life in the Gaza Strip.
As many as 2,500 social media accounts of Israeli soldiers were identified, sharing such content online, celebrating the death and destruction in the Palestinian enclave.
