A horse carrying sacks of flour received as humanitarian aid for Palestinians was shot dead by Israeli snipers in the north of Gaza.

The sad incident was shared by a local media channel Eye on Palestine on the microblogging site X.

The incident was captured in a video by a nearby family from their house in the war-torn region.

In the footage, the horse was seen lying on the ground after a bullet reportedly hit his neck.

Israel continues its aggression against the innocent and unarmed Palestinians.

Earlier, The World Health Organisation (WHO) warned of a growing malnutrition crisis in Gaza.

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that 8,000 children under five have been treated for acute malnutrition and a "significant proportion of the population faces catastrophic hunger and famine-like conditions".

The restrictions on food, water, medicine, and fuel supplies have exacerbated the crisis.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) directed Israel to ensure basic services and humanitarian aid delivery in the besieged enclave.

The conflict has resulted in devastating losses, with over 40,000 Palestinians killed, including 16,456 children and 11,000 women.

The United Nations (UN) reported that two-thirds of buildings across the Gaza Strip have been "damaged or destroyed".

Israeli attacks have also killed at least 270 aid workers, including seven World Central Kitchen employees in April.
