The Israeli army allowed hundreds of Israeli settlers to organise a music festival at Hebron’s Al-Ibrahimi Mosque, a site revered by Muslims, where the remains of the Prophets Ibrahim, Ishaq, and Yaqub (AS) were laid to rest.
A video circulating on social media showed a large number of Israeli settlers attending the event at the historic mosque.
Musicians were seen playing loud music, displaying a blatant disregard for the sanctity of the historic place of worship.
Hebron’s Al-Ibrahimi Mosque is traditionally believed to be the burial site of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS), his wife Sarah, their son Ishaq (AS) and grandson Yaqub (AS), and their wives Rifaqah and Layaa.
While Muslims are frequently barred from entering the mosque by the occupation army, Jewish settlers face no such restrictions.
As Palestinian Muslims are prevented from reaching the mosque, Israeli occupation forces have allowed hundreds of Israeli settlers to set up a music festival on the grounds of Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the occupied old city of Hebron.

The Israeli army segregated the mosque complex for Muslim and Jewish worshippers after a Jewish settler massacred 29 Palestinian worshippers inside the mosque in 1994.
The Ibrahimi Mosque and the old city of Hebron were inscribed on the World Heritage List in July 2017 by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
Approximately 160,000 Palestinian Muslims reside in the historic city of Hebron, while around 500 illegal Israeli settlers live in Jewish-only enclaves under heavy military security.
Israel has destroyed 106 mosques and three churches in Gaza since its military onslaught began on October 7, according to Gaza's government media office.
Israeli soldiers recently bombed Masjid Al Kabir, one of the oldest mosques in Gaza, built in 1928, in their latest attacks. Occupation forces were filmed burning and tearing pages of the Holy Quran at another mosque.
