Imam-e-Kaaba and President General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, advised against sharing pictures and videos of wedding ceremonies on social media, Aaj News reports on Saturday.

During his Friday sermon, Sheikh Al-Sudais encouraged Muslims to avoid posting about their marriages on social media platforms, including facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X and WhatsApp.

In his guidance, Grand Mosque Imam also advised Muslims to live their lives with balance, and obedience. He also urged abstinence from extravagance and other sins.

Prominent Islamic scholar highlighted the issue of dowry, a major problem in society, and advised Muslims to show seriousness in solving such problems.

Al-Sudais instructed Muslims to fear Allah (SWT) and worship Him, stating that only by worshiping Him can one become closer to Him.

In conclusion, the religious scholar cautioned against all actions that distance the "servants from Allah".
