Iran warns U.S. bases are in missile range, promises decisive response if attacked

Iran’s army has issued a warning that any military attack by U.S will trigger an “immediate and decisive” response, heightening tensions in the Middle East as U.S. forces build up in the region

Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, a spokesman for the Iranian army, said that recent military plans and directives have already been issued to respond immediately to any miltary action by the U.S.

He cautioned that if “the enemy” carries out a “foolish miscalculation,” Iran’s response will be “real-time and forceful, not limited or restrained”. 

Moreover, Akraminia claimed that U.S. military bases and aircraft carriers fall within the range of Iran’s medium-range missiles and would be targeted if a conflict breaks out. He said that Iranian forces are prepared to respond to any threats with full force. 

The warning from Iran was provoked after U.S. leaders publicly talked about military options and deploying naval assets to their military bases in Gulf region as a warning to Iran.
