The Israeli military claimed that Iran has launched approximately 100 drones targeting Israeli airspace. This comes in retaliation for Israel’s large-scale strikes on Tehran and other Iranian cities under Operation Rising Lion, which targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities and top military figures.

All Iranian drones toward Israel were reportedly neutralised before reaching their targets, according to Israeli officials.

Early Friday morning, Israel announced extensive strikes on "nuclear and military targets" across Iran, stating that its army had specifically targeted the center of Iran's nuclear program.

Iran has confirmed casualties of prominet figures, including the head of its armed forces, Mohammad Bagheri, the commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, and six nuclear scientists, all killed in these Israeli attacks.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu asserted that these precision strikes aimed to eliminate the "survival threat to Israel" posed by Iran. He further contended that, had Iran not been "stopped," it would have quickly developed nuclear weapons.

In response, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei declared that the attacks revealed Israel's "malicious nature." He warned that "by carrying out these attacks, Israel chose a bitter fate for itself, which it will have to face."

Amidst the threat of retaliation, Israel has imposed a state of emergency. An Iranian military spokesman, meanwhile, vowed that Israel and the US would pay a "heavy price" for the attacks.
