The Washington Post has reported that Israel may launch an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities in the coming months, potentially dealing a significant setback to Tehran’s nuclear program.

Citing U.S. intelligence assessments, the report suggests that such an operation could escalate tensions across the Middle East and lead to a broader regional conflict.

These warnings are based on multiple intelligence reports compiled during the transition between the Biden and Trump administrations, including assessments from the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Sources indicate that Israel may attempt to target Iran’s Fordow and Natanz nuclear facilities. However, neither the White House, the CIA, the Defense Intelligence Agency, nor the Israeli government have commented on the matter.

According to the Washington Post, Israel is reportedly planning a major offensive against Iran in October, with the aim of crippling Iran’s air defenses.

The report also suggests that the United States could potentially support the operation with aerial and intelligence assistance.

Tensions between Iran and Israel have been ongoing for years, intensifying further following the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023.
