Israeli Parliament member Ofer Cassif has called for the dismissal of Tel Aviv University Professor Ozi Rabi for advocating the genocide of Palestinians.
The professor recommended that the Israeli government should use hunger or genocide to eliminate them.
Cassif, who belongs to Israel's left-wing Arab-majority party and frequently speaks out in support of Palestine, condemned the mass killing of Palestinians and demanded accountability for professors like Rabi who incite war crimes.
This development comes amid escalating tensions in the region.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has urged the international community to hold Israel accountable for what he describes as a "full-scale war of genocide" against Palestinians, with over 40,000 casualties in Gaza alone.
Other world leaders, including the Prime Minister of Iraq and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Comoros, have also condemned Israel's actions, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a two-state solution based on international law.
The situation remains volatile, with ongoing conflicts in Gaza, the West Bank, and other parts of the region.
The international community is increasingly concerned about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Palestine, with many leaders advocating for diplomatic initiatives to resolve the conflict peacefully.
