An Israeli soldier died due to smoke from a generator in a building in southern Gaza, according to the country's media.

The 19-year-old soldier was sleeping in a room with two other soldiers when the incident occurred late at night.

The toxic fumes from the generator caused the death of one soldier and injured two others, who are in deteriorating condition.

Israel's Military Police Corps (MCP) have launched an investigation into the incident.

The incident brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed in the ongoing genocide committed by Tel Aviv in Gaza to 687.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army has intensified its attacks in Gaza, resulting in over 30 Palestinian casualties in more than 60 airstrikes by planes, helicopters, and drones since yesterday.

The death toll in Khan Younis has risen to 129 Palestinians in just four days.

Israel has been committing war crimes in Gaza since October 7, 2023.

Over 39,000 Gazans have been killed by Israel and hundreds of thousands have been injured in the coastal enclave.
