Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei slammed US President Donald Trump’s claims that Tehran’s nuclear facilities had been destroyed, ridiculing the assertion as a fantasy and warning Tehran would not be cowed.

In a series of posts on X and public remarks, Khamenei mocked Trump’s boast that U.S. strikes had “bombed and destroyed Iran’s nuclear industry,” writing: “ Very well, in your dreams!” He called any deal offered under coercion “not a deal but an imposition and bullying.”

Responding to Trump’s recent speech in the Israeli Knesset, Khamenei accused the US president of trying to lift the morale of “despondent Zionists” with empty promises.

He reiterated Tehran’s claim that, during the 12-day conflict with Israel, Iranian missiles had struck deep into Israeli territory and damaged several “sensitive centres.”

Khamenei also stated that the United States is conducting a “soft war” aimed at demoralising Iran’s youth and sowing doubt among the population. He argued that US sanctions target ordinary Iranians and therefore reveal Washington’s hostility, not any claim of friendship.

The supreme leader went further, accusing the US of being complicit in “war crimes in Gaza,” and alleged that Washington had played a role in creating and manipulating militant groups such as Daesh for its own strategic purposes, claims he said illustrated the hypocrisy of US policy.

Khamenei concluded by questioning America’s right to decide what other countries may possess and why the US maintains military airbases across West Asia. He warned that pressure and coercion from abroad “will never work against Iran.”
