Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh’s daughter, Khawla Ismail Haniyeh, has said that her father’s death in a missile attack in Tehran on July 31 will strengthen the path toward Palestinian freedom and that his blood will become a "curse" for Israel.

Khawla, who resides in Gaza City’s Shati refugee camp, has been receiving mourners offering condolences for her father's assassination.

While speaking to the TRT World, Khawla said, “Thank God who honoured us with the martyrdom of our great father, the leader, the generous and the mujahid (fighter) for the sake of God.”

“Thank God who chose him among the martyrs. Thank God who honoured and privileged us with his martyrdom. May our Lord be pleased with him and accept him to the highest ranks of (paradise),” she continued.

“My first message is to the Israelis, the cursed who thought that by assassinating my father they would rejoice and find relief but no, I swear my father’s blood will be a curse that will haunt them until the judgment day,” Hamas chief’s daughter warned.

“God willing, his blood will mean victory, and may it be the price for the blood that is shed on this pure and sacred land,” she concluded.

Hamas chief was in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of newly-elected Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday.

Senior Hamas official, Khalil Al-Hayya stated that Haniyeh was killed by a missile. The witnesses reported the missile broke the window of the room before directly striking Haniyeh.
