KSA unveils 'In the Prophet's Steps' project to highlight Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) historic migration

Saudi Arabia announced a new initiative, "In the Prophet's Steps," which aims to retrace the historic journey of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) migration from Makkah to Madinah. The project includes a 470-kilometer route connecting the two holy cities, with a 305-kilometer walkable path.
The project was inaugurated on Monday by Prince Suleman Bin Sultan, Emir of Medina. It will officially launch in November and run for six months.

With this innovative project, the authorities would recreate the Prophet’s (PBUH) migration route, featuring at least 41 historic landmarks, with five interactive stations that would narrate the key events related to Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) migration
A dedicated Migration Museum would also be established to educate visitors about this pivotal chapter of Islamic history.

The project consists of eight stations to provide a deeper undersatinf of the migration journey. Moreover, 30 restaurants and 50 shops will be established on the journey's pathway to enhance the experience for visitors.
This project would accommodate up to 12,000 visitors daily, which would bring this spiritual experience to life.

“This project is a testament to our leadership’s commitment to preserving Islamic heritage,” Prince Salman said, adding that it provides visitors an opportunity to trace the Prophet’s journey and explore the souvenirs that recall the historic migration.
“This initiative reflects the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to preserve and promote Islamic history,” said the Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh.
The project was developed with the collaboration of historical and governmental institutions to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the events.
