The Saudi government has taken an important step to ensure there is no negligence or shortcoming in the service and safety of the Guests of Allah.
Millions of pilgrims from around the world travel to the Holy Kaaba and Masjid-e-Nabawi to perform Hajj and Umrah. Due to massive crowds, congestion and extreme heat, ensuring the safety of children has become a major challenge.
The separation of children from their parents amid such large gatherings is a deeply distressing situation.
To address this issue, and on the directives of the Custodians of the Two Holy Mosques, children visiting Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi will be provided with special safety wristbands.
This was announced by officials of the General Authority responsible for the affairs of Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi.
According to officials, the smart wristbands worn on the wrist will contain complete details of the child’s parents or guardians.
In case a child gets separated or goes missing, immediate identification will be possible, allowing authorities to quickly trace the parents and reunite the child with them.
The specially designed wristbands for children will be available at Bab Abdul Aziz and Bab Fahd (Gate No. 79), where staff will be present to assist with guidance and registration.
