Saudi prince Mohammed bin Salman has assured Iran that Saudi Arabia will not allow its airspace to be used for any military actions against Iran.

In a phone call to the Iranian president, on Tuesday, Muhammad bin Salman claimed that Saudia Arab respects Iran’s sovereignty and said that it supports its efforts to resolve regional differences through dialogue and diplomacy rather than riot.

Moreover, backing Saudia Arab’s stance, UAE has stated it would not permit its airspace or territorial waters to be used for any military operation against Iran.

These statements came amid growing tension in the region after President Trump warned of a U.S. “armada” heading towards Iran, raising concern about possible military attack.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s rejection of facilitating attacks against Iran highlights a preference for peaceful and diplomatic approach in resolving issues especially when Gulf-U.S. relations and regional security dynamics remain so unstable.
