A one-month-old Palestinian baby, named after his martyred father, Tamer Mohsin, was killed in an Israeli attack on Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Journalist Saleh Al-Jafarwai shared a heartbreaking video on Instagram, where he held the deceased child, whose body was covered in blood, while recounting the story.
“His father, Tamer Mohsin, was martyred just a month ago. The father never even got to see his son, and now he has followed him after only one month of life,” Saleh said.
He questioned whether these innocent babies are the "so-called fighters" that the Israeli army is targeting, adding, “These are the ones who carry weapons and fire missiles at the occupation?”
Saleh highlighted Israel's continued propaganda about targeting Hamas fighters while, in reality, thousands of innocent civilians, including children, are being killed in the ruthless military offensive on the Gaza Strip.
“Are these the resisters you are talking about?” he asserted.
In the video, Saleh reported from the morgue of Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, where the bodies of 30 martyrs were being kept. All of them were civilians who had been attacked in their homes by the occupation forces.
“These are the targets of the Israeli occupation,” he lamented, expressing disappointment at the world's silence. “Imagine if he were your child; how would you feel?”
“We also don’t accept this, and we also don’t want to see our children like this,” he concluded.
The overall Palestinian death toll since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza has reached at least 43,824 with more than 100,833 wounded. Thousands more remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
