President Trump confirmed that a naval force is enroute towards Iran amid rising tensions. However, he claimed, that he hopes the deployment will not be used for any military action

Speaking to reporters, he said “very big, very powerful” ships are heading in the direction of Iran and that “hopefully we won’t have to use them,” indicating that the immediate conflict is not the objective. Furthermore, he stated that ongoing talks with Iran are aimed at easing tensions.

Contrary to President Trumps statements on easing tensions with dialogue, U.S has been deploying military assets, including a carrier strike group, towards the Middle East in response to Iran’s threats.

Earlier this week, Trump warned that time was running out for Iran to negotiate, while also emphasizing diplomatic engagement to avoid escalation.

Moreover, President Trump has highlighted his intention to hold discussions with Iran and allies, expressing hope that negotiations could avoid the need for military action. He claimed that avoiding conflict remains a priority even as the US deploys its naval fleet in the region.
