In a heartwarming act of generosity, a Turkish bride donated her wedding dowry gold to support Palestinians in Gaza as they continue to endue violence and food shortage amid Israeli military offensive.
The bride decided to donate her gold while Israel continues to hold a blockade to stop international aid from entering the Gaza Strip despite the sheer scarcity of food, water, medicine and other essential supplies.
However, the bride, who chose to remain anonymous, wished to begin her marriage with a charitable act aimed at easing the hardships of people in Gaza.
She was optimistic that her contribution would be an inspiration for others to act in solidarity with Palestinians facing unprecedented Israeli oppression.

According to reports, the total worth of gold was approximately 1.5 million Turkish Lira ($39,035.87).
It is pertinent to mention here that Gaza is experiencing a severe food shortage.
The UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) stated that the food supplies in the coastal areas were running critically low, and some families were eating “whatever they can find” whether it's not safe to consume, Al Jazeera reported.
“Humanitarian access must be restored,” the agency urged Israel.
The UN's World Food Programme (WFP) reported that its food supplies in Gaza have been entirely exhausted due to Israel's ongoing weeks-long blockade on aid deliveries.
