Turkiye condemned India’s recent military strikes on Pakistan, describing them as a “provocative step” and “attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure.” Ankara also voiced support for Pakistan’s call for an independent investigation into the April 22 incident in Phalgam, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Turkiye expressed deep concern that the Indian aggression could lead to a dangerous escalation between two nuclear-armed nations.
“We are following the developments between Pakistan and India with concern,” a statement from the Turkish government said.

Separately, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar over the phone. During the call, Fidan expressed alarm over India’s unprovoked aggression, the violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty, and the loss of innocent civilian lives.
According to a spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office, Hakan Fidan reiterated Turkiye’s full solidarity with Pakistan and underscored the need to prevent further deterioration of regional peace.
The two leaders agreed to stay in close contact and continue consultations on the evolving situation.
